Dear St. Rita Parents,

Happy Easter! The celebration of Our Lord’s Resurrection continues in the Church for eight days, called the Octave of Easter. Each day of the Octave is ranked as a Solemnity in the Church’s liturgical calendar, the highest ranking of liturgical feasts. The Octave of Easter ends on the Second Sunday of Easter, the Sunday of Divine Mercy. In the Jubilee Year 2000, at the Mass in which he canonized the humble religious Sister Faustina Kowalska, Blessed John Paul II declared that from then on throughout the Church the Second Sunday of Easter would also be called the Sunday of Divine Mercy. This is entirely appropriate since, as Blessed John Paul II reminded us, “Divine Mercy is “the Easter gift that the Church receives from the risen Christ and offers
to humanity.

Our re-registration packet for the 2016-2017 school year was included in last week’s Tuesday envelope. We have attempted to streamline the process of re-registration and ask that you read over the enclosed documents carefully. Please note the tuition costs, parish verification form, and HSA commitment are all included within the tuition agreement. Tuition costs this year absorb the fees previously billed separately for such things as the school planner, student Bible, scholastic magazine, etc. However, please note that the fees for field trips, milk, and recorder will be in addition to your tuition costs and will be billed separately at a later date.

We ask that you return the completed tuition agreement and $250 per student non-refundable deposit to the school office by Friday, April 29, 2016. Information regarding the Smart Tuition Program is included in thepacket and must be updated on-line. Within the next few weeks we will be sending home the on-line Smart Financial Aid Assessment which is new for the upcoming school year.

We are grateful for your continued support. Thank you for entrusting your child to our care.

God Bless,
Mrs. Tiezzi
